In relation to the facility for guarantees previously granted to SAIPEM, UBAF informs it has issued a Performance bond on behalf of its client, with regards to the Saint Brieuc Offshore Wind Farm Project awarded to SAIPEM on July 2020.
Issued in favor of Ailes Marine SAS, part of the Iberdrola group, the bond confirms UBAF’s commitment to support energy transition initiatives.
Martin Schmitt, Head of corporate Europe operations at UBAF said “This is just the beginning! Step by step, this paves the way to more energy transition projects.”
The offshore wind project in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, a significant component of France’s energy transition strategy, will soon begin its construction phase. The project will be fully operational in 2023.
