Better prevention through better understanding: a look back at our Breast Cancer Awareness Month events

Participating in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, UBAF organised informative events for its employees.

A Major Public Health Issue

In France, one in eight women will be affected by breast cancer during their lifetime. When detected at an early stage, 88% of breast cancer cases can be successfully treated.
These figures highlight the importance of awareness. Prevention and early detection remain the most effective ways to improve treatment outcomes and reduce the impact of the disease.

An impactful campaign

Our breast cancer awareness campaign centered on two key events:

  • Three prevention quizzes: thanks to our, partner Melia Hope, we organized a fun, engaging, and meaningful activity designed to reinforce best practices for prevention and provide key information about breast cancer screening.

  • A webinar: hosted by our partner Klesia on the topic “Breast Cancer: Better Prevention, Better Understanding, and Better Support.”

This campaign helped raise awareness about breast cancer among our employees through a three-pronged approach:

  • Prevention and early detection: learning best practices for prevention, listening to your body, and seeking medical advice

  • Understanding the invisible impacts of the disease and its treatments

  • Getting support and helping a loved one

A meaningful collective commitment

This Cancer Prevention Campaign highlighted the collective responsibility towards prevention. By encouraging dialogue and knowledge sharing, UBAF aims to contribute to a better understanding of public health issues and promote the adoption of good preventive practices in everyday life.
